Vincent Taluskie is a long-time Louisville resident, and meditation practitioner with a background in science and technology. Almost two decades years ago, facing life’s challenges and stresses, I first turned to meditation and mindfulness, which has proved to be transformative and healing for me personally.
My teaching is the culmination of years of personal practice guided by authorized local Zen and Insight Meditation teachers over the past 14 years. I’ve completed the two-year MMTCP training program and teaching practicum with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach to become a formally certified mindfulness meditation teacher in Feb 2025. Additionally, since 2022 I have focused deeply on my practice and teaching and attended 20+ residential and online retreats in the Insight and Zen traditions encompassing nearly 100 days of additional training and practice.
My engagement with contemplative practice spans both study and service. Since 2019, I have been a student of Zen teacher and scholar David Loy and currently serve as President of the Board of Directors of the Insight Meditation Comm. I have served as a committee chair for the Rocky Mountain Ecodharma Retreat Center and have volunteered there since its founding in 2017. More recently, I collaborated with One Earth Sangha to develop and host their 2024–25 season of online meditation training, taken by thousands of participants. I also offer in-person meditation workshops to students at CU Boulder and work individually with private students.
